Asotin and the Snake River

Asotin is in Palouse Region of Washington State.

The name Asotin is derived from a Nez Perce language term meaning "eel creek". It was founded in 1878 by Alexander Sumpster. It is part of the Lewiston, ID–WA Metropolitan Statistical Area.
