The Teutonic castle is the main sight in town.

Bytów is a city in the Polish Pomorskie Region. The main attraction is the 14th century castle of the Teutonic Knights.

By car[edit]

Bytów lies about 90km southwest of Gdańsk, from where it's roughly an hour and a half by car. The main highway to Bytów is the National Road No. 20, which runs north-east to connect to the National Road 7 for Gdansk, or south-west from Bytów in the direction of Miastko.

  • 2 [dead link] Church of St. Catherine, Jana Pawła II 22, +48 59 822 25 60. This church originates in the 14th century.
  • 3 Church of St. George, Josyfa Slipyja 5, +48 59 822 38 41. Slightly younger, the Church of St. George was established in the 17th century. Now it is a Greek-Catholic church.
  • 4 Railway Bridge. Railway bridge over the Buruja river built in 1884.
