Dunaújváros (formerly Dunapentele, Sztálinváros) is a town and district in Fejér County. Dunaújváros is an industrial town on the right bank of the Danube. After the Second World War, a large steelworks and settlement for 50,000 inhabitants were built around a small village. Dunaújvaros offers a very good insight into the architecture and urban planning of the early post-war period in Eastern Europe. Előszállás, in the southwest of the district, is covered in its own article.
