עברית: עברית: אתר ארכאולוגי בשפלת יהודה. שטחו של תל מרשה הוא כ-24 דונם בלבד, אך סביבו מתפרשים שרידים במרחב של כ-400 דונם המכונים "העיר התחתית". התל נחפר לראשונה בשנת 1889 על ידי שני ארכאולוגים בריטים, פרדריק ג'ונס בליס ורוברט מקאליסטר, מטעם הקרן לחקירות ארץ ישראל (Palestine Exploration Fund). עיקר הממצאים מרוכזים כיום במוזיאון לארכאולוגיה של איסטנבול שבטורקיה. ביוני 2014 הכריז ארגון אונסק"ו על מרשה ועל בית גוברין הסמוכה כאתר מורשת עולמית. |
