English: Mrs Beatrice Chigozili Ekwueme, nee Beatrice Nwajagu, was born on July 3, 1934. She attended St. Cyprians Secondary School, port Harcourt and Crowther Memorial Girls Secondary School, Elelewon, Port Harcourt. She also attended United Missionary College (UMC) Ibadan, before she went further to study at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She obtained her Master’s Degree from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. She acted as First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between October 1,1979 and December 31, 1983.
