Nederlands: De Stadsfeestzaal is een neoclassicistisch gebouw uit 1908 van stadsbouwmeester Alexis Van Mechelen (Q76827692). Lange tijd was het één van de bekendste zalen in Antwerpen dat onder meer onderdak bood aan tentoonstellingen en verschillende feesten. In september 2000 vernielde een hevige brand bijna heel het gebouw en bleef er amper nog iets van over.
Op 25 oktober 2007 opende de compleet gerenoveerde Stadsfeestzaal opnieuw zijn deuren voor het grote publiek, dit keer als luxueus shoppingcenter. Een van de blikvangers na de renovatie is de zwevende champagnebar van Laurent-Perrier (achterin op de foto). |
