Summary
DescriptionYoung people protesting environmental degredation in Czechoslovakia during 1989 Velvet Revolution.jpg
English: Young people protesting environmental degradation under Communism in Czechoslovakia during the Velvet Revolution in 1989. I was visiting Prague as a tourist and encountered this group in the street. I asked if I could photograph the group and specifically requested that the woman in the center turn around in order to reveal her placard. The Soviet‑era gas masks are symbolic.
Ilford 135-36 HP5 film stock (coded 2357). Film development by professional lab in London, United Kingdom. High‑resolution scan by FotoMeyer Fotoservice, Berlin, Germany.
It would be very useful if other editors could help contextualize this image. I was simply visiting as a tourist and do not speak Czech.
