This division of the City of Washington DC is incorrect.
The city is divided geographically along the North Capitol, South Capitol, Constitution Ave (The Mall) to the west and East Capitol Ave to the east.
If you use this map, it shows Anacostia as part of the "north east" which would totally confuse people, all of those streets are "SE" or south east. so if someone uses this map to find a location, generally, and you say "it is over in the north east" they could go to a directly opposite street. ( SE compared to actual NE street)
This is VERY important! Particulary near the Capitol where all the street intersect. 6th street NW and K st NW is a VERY DIFFERENT place, nearly a mile distant than 6th ST NE and K St NE.
Without showing this in the diagram dividing the city, you will utterly confuse people and get them lost.
I will work on a proposed new map showing the other major districts. All the residents of the district talk in terms of neighborhood (based on metro locations or tourist destinations) and the WARDS> If you say "Ward Four" you mean the north west section of the city near Rock Creek park EAST of the park, etc. Ward locations is vital on an accurate map and is a better way to divide the district. It will also set up the information according to the parking permits and other vital information everyone needs to know about DC to avoid tickets and hassle with Police and to find locations.
