Grants Pass is a city in Southern Oregon.

The slogan for the city is “It’s the Climate,” and nothing could fit the town better. Grants Pass has been known in the winter to receive sun, rain, and snow all on the same day! Its climate is very similar to that of nearby Medford in Jackson County.

One of Grants Pass’ greatest achievements is being one of the most caffeinated cities in Southern Oregon. It is home to the originators of Dutch Bros. and stickers adorn almost every car’s bumper or window.

Stay safe

[edit]

Grants Pass is generally safe, but the Fruitdale neighborhood, as well as Bridge Street, Central Avenue, and Rogue River Avenue, are considered some of the "seedier" parts of town.

The parks in Grants Pass have become hotspots of drug use, particularly after dark.

Property crime is rampant in Grants Pass, and even more so in rural Josephine County. Make sure to secure your belongings.

Outside of the city limits, Josephine County has a reputation of lawlessness. Because local law enforcement is severely underfunded, response time will be slow.

Josephine County also has a very high missing person rate. Avoid traveling on unfamiliar roads, especially after dark.

Go next

[edit]

When it's time to leave, aim for the I-5. Go north for the Portland Airport, or south for the Medford airport. If you want to make plans to go somewhere new or need advice, there are many travel agencies available for you to visit.
