Kaunertal is a glacier and a skiing resort in the west Austria near Innsbruck.

Understand[edit]

Kaunertal is open all year. You can find here well-kept cross-country tracks, a slalom downhill course and a fun-park.

If you don't want to ski, there is a golf course, an indoor swimming-pool, a four-cross track or night actions and many more. It is the smallest glacier in Austria and one of the cheapest. There are good downhills, many possibilities of entertainment and few people. It is the home resort of snowboarder Chris Kröll or skier Stephan Eberharter. The top of the highest mountain in this area, Karlsspitz, is 3,160 meters above sea level. There are fascinating views from this mountain. You can also see Mt. Blanc. There live many animals, for example chamoix.
