Murcia is a municipality in central Negros Occidental with a population of about 87,000 as of the 2020 census. It borders the capital city, Bacolod, and could be considered a suburb.

Get in[edit]

There are buses and jeepneys from Bacolod. The distance is about 17 km.

Get around[edit]

See[edit]

The Mambukal Resort is on a higher elevation than the city hence it has a cooler average temperature; the main attraction are its natural hot springs. There are also caves and several species of bat.

  • Salas Park (located a few minutes from Mambucal Resort). Best to see during the night, where it overlooks Bacolod. The trip to the park is what locals call, little Baguio with all the zig-zag and steep roads. You would also be surrounded with old pines, mahogany and the cool air. Best for hikers too. A local guide is available to bring you to various springs and falls. Come to discover.
