Northern Tamil Nadu is a region of Tamil Nadu, India. It consists of Dharmapuri, Kanchipuram, Krishnagiri, Ranipet, Tirupattur, Tiruvannamalaiand Vellore districts.

  • 3 Dharmapuri — once the capital of the great Adhiyaman kingdom (Chola)
  • 5 Hosur — an industrial town, home to Chandra Choodeswarar Temple
  • 6 Kanchipuram — 75 km from Chennai, one of the seven holy cities in the country, and a visit is believed to bestow salvation; renowned for its silk sarees
  • 7 Krishnagiri
  • 11 Yelagiri — great for treks and expeditions
