Socorro is a city in the Campinas Region of São Paulo state. Socorro is a popular regional tourism destination, offering quite varied attractions including mineral springs, eco-adventure, a vibrant shopping scene and an interesting Historic Center, with several Eclectic constructions, a legacy of Italian immigration.

Socorro's city center contains many eclectic constructions, a legacy of Italian immigration from XIX-early XX centuries. Unfortunately, it is not as preserved or as picturesque as Amparo or Monte Alegre do Sul, with the historical constructions often mixed with uninteresting modern buildings.
