Subregion[edit]

Should this be part of North County (Massachusetts) or Blackstone Valley, the towns listed in these regions make it a little unclear where the boundary is and are close to the boroughs.--Traveler100 (talk) 17:27, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Realistically, it doesn't belong in either. The existing sub-regional structure doesn't work that well for the east-central parts. At the moment, I don't think the sub-regional pages need to exist, since they mostly link to empty articles. Until the Central Massachusetts article becomes too big, I would say the sub-regions aren't necessary. There are 30 something towns in Central MA, but most don't need their own article (hence this article). I'm working on other groupings of towns that could have an article, but it's going to take me a while. If it has to go in a sub-region, for now I would say North County (Massachusetts), which has an ambiguous definition anyway, whereas the Blackstone Valley is pretty well defined and doesn't include these three towns.--Godsendlemiwinks (talk) 14:06, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

To merge or to disambiguate?[edit]

It seems very clear that we don't need this article and articles for the three constituent towns (Westborough, Northborough, Southborough), and every listing here currently should belong in one of those three other article, so let's choose please: Merge those three here? Or move the listings from here to their respective town page and make this a disambig page? Texugo (talk) 12:15, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I completely forgot that Southborough and Westborough had articles. Having an article for each town would result in 3 pretty weak outlines so I think they're better served in a single article. Godsendlemiwinks (talk) 00:09, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and redirected Northborough here. It's had a merge proposal for months that nobody objected to and didn't have any content anyway.Godsendlemiwinks (talk) 16:25, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Another set of eyes[edit]

on this edit. I tried googling this info, and came up with nothing but a 5-year-old discussion on Wikipedia where sources were requested and not provided. I removed the paragraph, and the unregistered editor has added it back in. Am I off-base on this? Ground Zero (talk) 16:05, 24 September 2020 (UTC) -->Moving discussion to Talk:Boroughs[reply]

Clearly not named "the city of rhymes" by anyone but the IP user, as Google returns 0 results for "city of rhymes"+"westborough". I can't find any evidence for the existence of a punk rock band named The Last Exit, nor of an MC Jugo, nor of a song called Don't Play With The Ducks. The balance of probability suggests they don't exist outside of our friend's head, but I could be proven wrong.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 16:30, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with ThunderingTyphoons! about the balance of probability and suggest removing the paragraph as an apparent hoax. —Granger (talk · contribs) 16:33, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Have asked the user directly to provide some evidence other than their personal testimony.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 16:43, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That WP page persuades me not to waste anymore time on this. There's no evidence forthcoming, because none exists.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 16:53, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
