Talk:Bukit Peninsula

This is a ropey article to say the least. I will try to get some more meaningful information in here.

I would also propose that the article is renamed. I do not think anyone really thinks of the whole Bukit Peninsula as Uluwatu. It is "The Bukit" and Uluwatu is understood to be the relatively small part of the Bukit around Uluwatu temple.

Any comments or objections to that? --(WT-en) Burmesedays 08:13, 2 September 2009 (EDT)

Hi Burmesedays, i think you don't need to rename the article, its just unclear written. Maybe you update the breadcrump navigation and bring in one more level (e.g. Bali then Bukit Peninsula then Uluwatu). If you want to do this, then you need to change Jimbaran and Nusa Dua as well. Maybe we start a discussion on the main Bali article how to sensible structure Bali. Thanks for the starter, (WT-en) jan 08:18, 2 September 2009 (EDT) P.S. I have seen that some users started to structure Bali with regions. I think that is a good point to bring in your knowledge of the island! (WT-en) jan 08:21, 2 September 2009 (EDT)
Hi Jan. Thanks for that and you may well be right. To be honest I have until now stayed away from the Bali articles as there is a LOT that needs attention and concentrated instead on Nusa_Lembongan and Nusa_Penida. However, those are about done now.. so... Bali it is :) . --(WT-en) Burmesedays 09:03, 2 September 2009 (EDT)

I don't think we need an additional level for the peninsula alone. (We do need to split Bali itself, but that's another discussion best reserved for Talk:Bali.) Renaming this article as "Bukit Peninsula", briefly discussing the villages within and the use of the name "Uluwatu" for the whole thing, and keeping Nusa Dua separate is probably the best call. I had missed that last comment From Jani. Definitely the right thing to do and it shall be done :) Cheers. --(WT-en) Burmesedays 09:44, 28 October 2009 (EDT)

Beaches[edit]

The beaches here are now listed on the See section, but Project:Where you can stick it stipulates that beaches should be described in the Do section. --(WT-en) globe-trotter 03:15, 16 February 2010 (EST)

Yet more See and Do confusion. How to do you "Do" a beach? :) Also of note is that Bali went to Star with beaches all listed under Landscape in the See section. I will bring it up at Project:Where you can stick it. --(WT-en) Burmesedays 04:09, 16 February 2010 (EST)
