If there's another Iowa City in the world, this one is definitely the most famous. So I took off the disambiguator. --(WT-en) Evan 08:06, 19 Jan 2005 (EST)

Another page banner[edit]

old
new

I don't much like the current page banner, as it only shows the top of the Old Capitol building, although the colors are cheerful and appealing. I find the new suggestion would be an improvement. Any preferences? --Danapit (talk) 11:40, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have to say I like the old one more. ϒpsilon (talk) 12:01, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Please forgive me, but I find both pagebanners kind of jarring. They're neither views a person would see from the street nor views looking across town from some skyscraper. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:19, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have to agree. Neither are framed very well — they both seem to leave out important parts of their subject. Texugo (talk) 20:41, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The new banner actually was quite representative for my Iowa city memories. But that doesn't mean everyone would see it like that. No problem, let's seek further :) Danapit (talk) 06:07, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I respect that, Dana. I've never been there, so your views on what images represent Iowa City carry much more weight than my reaction to them. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:15, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
