How far out do we want listings to go?

There is a listing for accommodations 1 hour's drive outside of Jaisalmer. Is that too far? What about 45 minutes? My tendency is to think that 30 minutes should be the limit, but I will defer to any consensus. (WT-en) Ikan Kekek 08:20, 4 January 2012 (EST)

Article cleanup required in Eat/drink/sleep sections

@Midtown restaurant making entry in both eat and drink section as well as using wikivoyage as for advertising yourself is not ok. I am deleting your entry from the drink section as well as deleting your description. --(WT-en) anurag.thakur84 12:51, 12 February 2012 (EST)

@Wiki travellers :- The entire eat/drink/sleep sections look like as if they have been created by the respective hotel owners. I am not sure about the best way forward but i sure do feel like deleting all the descriptions having "we". The article needs a lots of cleanup. I see this problem still exists. Yes, the "Eat" listings for hotel restaurants should be deleted, unless those hotel restaurants are extensively patronized by non-guests of the hotels (which I doubt, since they don't have independent names, but that is no proof). Hotel Surja Guest House listing

This unexplained deletion just took place: [1] The deleted passage is a negative review. An unexplained edit to delete the bad review is a little questionable. So my question to all of you is, do you know whether the deleted passage was accurate or possibly put into the listing by an unethical competitor? The question to me is, should the negative review be deleted (as was done) or should the entire listing be deleted? Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:52, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

New banner?

Also, I really like this photo: File:Heritage Inn Hotel, Jaisalmer.jpg. But we have no listing for the hotel. Should we? A quick web search shows that it apparently is still in business. Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:13, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
