Talk:Medellín
Anyone have info on bus service from Medellin to Tolima? All the details would be nice. Also, how safe is it? Have any of these bus routes between these two cities been in danger from guerrillas? Also, this being the rainy season, how about the danger of flooding and mudslides?

Medellin to Ibague (Capital of Tolima) can be done in two ways: First, you can take a bus directly to Ibague from "Terminal del Sur". "Expreso Bolivariano" or "Expreso Arauca" are good options although there are other transportation companies. Second way is going first to Bogota and then Ibague; this way is a bit longer but buses to Bogota are more frenquent than directly to Ibague from Medellin. I don't think it is any danger with guerrillas (anyway, it is better to travel on day time). About your last point, it is always a risk in colombian roads; you always will have a chance to find floodings or mudslides.
I have to question the statemen about Botero "whose namesake is arguably the most famous modern artist alive today" What's the evidence for this?

False advertising, unsourced
[edit]Medellín is not "one of the safest cities in latin america", especially not for residents. The statement is unsourced and should be updated in accordance with authoritative sources. Between the late 1990's and 2007 there was an improvemnt, but since the paramilitary boss Don Berna was sent to the US things have gone crazy again. I will update the article with proper sources, but then again, anything is better than the unsourced piece that exists now. / Sofia Hernández --(WT-en) Palenque! 20:19, 21 November 2010 (EST)
Disambig
[edit]w:Medellin, Cebu in the Philippines is a small town (55,000) & we do not yet have an article for it. w:Medellin (disambiguation) lists a few more, so at some point we may need a disambig page. Pashley (talk) 16:36, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
The Climate chart
[edit]Does the climate thing work for other people? Is my browser just unable to read it? If no one responds to this, I will delete it on the assumption that my computer isn't fouling up. Wyote (talk) 03:15, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
- Yikes. It's a nightmare. Doesn't work at all on my tablet. Ground Zero (talk) 03:21, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
- Same issue here on the desktop; it doesn't seem to like temperatures specified as "janmean =" instead of "janhigh =","janlow =". If I stick the listed mean temperature in for both 'high' and 'low' then the browser displays it on my TV correctly - which is not a fix. If we do keep 'high'/'low', the table will need to be fixed to put real data in there instead of the same number for both? K7L (talk) 03:37, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
- Just a note - I checked and it looks like this is=was the only page with such issue. Andree.sk (talk) 05:19, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

Show Metrocable on Map
[edit]Given that it has really "get around" uses, should Metrocable show up on the map? I don't know how valuable it is for pleasure travelers, but it certainly is of use for locals and thereby conceivably also for some longer term visitors and certain business travelers.
