Thanks a lot for correcting my English,Mr.Jpatokal.I've made simple outline, and I will update it in my convenience. Regards,GIOGIO. 12:12,5 Sep 2005 JST (EDT)

I've just visited Naoshima. I'll try to add a bunch of information on this wonderful place over the next few days. This is my first major wiki attempt: please assist or comment on my talk page as you like. (WT-en) Deconstruct 04:15, 27 April 2008 (EDT)

Great! The article formatting is currently very non-standard, but with a little effort this could easily become an Off the Beaten Path featured article. (WT-en) Jpatokal 05:36, 27 April 2008 (EDT)

No FoP in Japan. I guess I'll upload it right away. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 07:48, 10 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is by George Rickey. I knew George Rickey and like his work. As it's in public for people to see, though I don't know, I can't imagine the estate being upset unless maybe someone tried to sell photos of the work without permission. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:55, 10 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Someone is really enjoying trying to remove all Japanese public art. I've noticed lots of photos that have been on Commons and Wikipedia/here are all suddenly being suggested to be deleted in recent months. It feels like policy-approved trolling. ChubbyWimbus (talk) 06:47, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
They're claiming a freedom of panorama issue. They also deleted photos of Canadian murals. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:57, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I know. It's just a lot easier to find a bunch of pictures and recommend them for deletion than it is to try and figure out what authority needs to be contacted to find out if it can be used, contact them, etc. and nominators know that. That's why I called it policy-approved trolling. ChubbyWimbus (talk) 12:17, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Current banner
New banner, I feel it's more representave of Naoshima as the current one makes it look like a regular island while not showing off its artwork

OK, sure. Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:05, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
New banner. While the current one looks really nice, since the latter is more representative of Naoshima, I'd go with that. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 01:49, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The original pumpkin was destroyed in August by a typhoon. I don't believe it has been repaired or replaced. I like the new banner better, but I think we should wait until the pumpkin is back on the pier before we make it the banner. ChubbyWimbus (talk) 11:34, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, I would also go with you and keep this banner change on hold. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 11:36, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
