Things to link to?[edit]

We have a page Wikivoyage:Cooperating with Wikioverland, but I do not see a link in this article. I think there should be one.

Another we might link to is Flightless Travel. Probably there are more. Pashley (talk) 14:48, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

I think this article would benefit greatly with the addition of a Map. I'm capable of editing a world map overland routes on it, as long as extreme geographic accuracy is not required -- maybe more like a tube style map overlaid over a world map. What would people like to see included on such a map? I'd suggest:

  • Transsiberian railway, Moscow to Vladivostok and/or Beijing
  • Europe to India via Turkey, Iran.
  • Europe to China via Iran Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
  • Pan-American Highway?

As you can see I'm more familure with the Europe/Asian Overland routes, and have no idea what would be worth mentioning in Africa, nor really in the Americas --Keithonearth (talk) 22:50, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've added a map. I think it's a big improvement to the article, even though it's pretty limited. If anyone wants to extend it please feel free. It's pretty easy with inkscape. This is actually a world map that's been cropped, without removing the image outside of the displayed portion, making it easy to extend the image to include more areas. Simplly open the file in inkscape (you'll see the entire world), and re-crop the image to cover the amount we have routes for. --Keithonearth (talk) 03:36, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What does this article intend to do?[edit]

Seriously, it seems to be somewhere between the vague and the obvious and then it also overlaps considerably with round the world overland. What are we thus to do? Hobbitschuster (talk) 17:13, 3 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
