Is Sale really "Famed for its food from all over the world"? Altfish (talk) 07:31, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you see touty language that seems dubious to you, please edit or remove it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:41, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've toned it down a bit, not exactly sure which restaurants it has, I live only 3-miles away and wouldn't normally think of going there. Altfish (talk) 14:20, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone who knows what they are doing please add a banner picture; I was thinking a picture of Sale Water Park would be ideal Altfish (talk) 19:24, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Added - sorry it took so long! What do you think? --Nick talk 16:22, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent, many thanks Altfish (talk) 12:11, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?[edit]

In Feb 2020, discussion is under way on merging pages for some of the small towns around Manchester. See Manchester / Talk if you can contribute to this.

For Sale, the suggestion was to merge it with Altrincham. There isn't much to see or do in Sale. Nevertheless it has accommodation and eating and drinking places, and feels like a substantial place. It doesn't naturally fit into either Altrincham further out or Stretford further in; they're all part of the ramshackle borough of Trafford. Unless others and especially Altfish have better suggestions, I propose leaving it as it is. Grahamsands (talk) 10:12, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Agree with leaving as is. Altfish hasn't contributed in over a year, so I wouldn't hold out for anything--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 11:05, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
