Rijnmond vs Rijnland / Regions

Rijnmond is in the Netherlands a more commonly used for the area around Rotterdam, Rijnland revers to the area around the city of Leiden (The river Rhine passed in the Roman times through that area.) and in Dutch even parts of Germany (Rhineland). --(WT-en) Rein N. 01:02, 27 July 2009 (EDT)

The question is whether Rijnmond refers to the StadsRegio Rotterdam. This definition would include Voorne Putten which is now mentioned under the islands. --(WT-en) WallyTheWalrus 17:03, 27 July 2009 (EDT)

I now made the regions like this. I think it's a pretty good way to divide regions, and it's pretty similar to the division of the VVV (Dutch Tourist Agency). A few points I'd like some comments on though:

• Spijkenisse now is in the South-Hollandic Islands, but it might as well be part of Rijnmond. It's a part of both. Which do you think is better?
• Rijnmond is not the Stadsregio Rotterdam, instead it's Rotterdam and it's urban suburbs. I chose this region so that all urban areas are grouped together, as rural destinations have a completely different travel purpose. The only exception now is Spijkenisse, as it is physically separated, but I think it should be mentioned in both regions.
• What to do with the Hoeksche Waard? I now did it like the VVV, as the Hoeksche Waard maybe is not an island, but is a Waard, just like Alblasserwaard and Zwijndrechtse Waard. This makes a nice grouping with the others in the South. On the other hand, it might be included with South-Hollandic Islands, as that region is now rather small.
