Alternative banner for this article?[edit]

New banner
Old banner

In the Hebrew Wikivoyage we are currently using this banner instead of the one which is currently used here. Do you think too that this banner would would better than the existing one? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 06:40, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I think yours is a better banner. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:05, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If we're going to be switching banners so quickly based on one person's opinion, it would at least be nice to put the old banner here on the talk page for comparison so that those of us who come by more than 12 hours later can see what you were discussing. Powers (talk) 22:06, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the old one, for comparison. Overall, I'd say the new one is stronger. I think the only real advantage in the old one is that the arch stands out more, but otherwise, kudos to the new one. PerryPlanet (talk) 23:29, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the old one is poor, but the new one buries the lead, so to speak. Powers (talk) 22:28, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't really bury it, in my opinion. The arch is in the middle of the picture. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:59, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but against a very busy background. Powers (talk) 18:41, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Route 66[edit]

Odd that this made it to guide with no mention of Route 66 beyond frozen custard? 2001:5C0:1000:A:0:0:0:7A9 00:16, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Plunge forward and add the content. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:36, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ferguson warningbox[edit]

Is it time to remove the warningbox about Ferguson? Texugo (talk) 22:22, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Racial profiling of blacks by police continues [1], even if the riots are over. This should be reworded, updated and placed inline as part of the main "stay safe" text instead of being a big, scary red box for a specific event. The underlying problems are still there, but the timeframe is now long-term as the worst of the disturbances are off the front pages. K7L (talk) 14:20, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That wouldn't bother me too much, but racial profiling is hardly limited to Ferguson, especially when it comes to large city suburbs barely interesting enough touristically for us to even have an article about, and it's doubtful whether we need to liberally slap warnings on every big city near which an incident occurred. If the Ferguson article is actually going to exist, I'd think that would be a better place for the comments, if any. Texugo (talk) 15:19, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ferguson is not just another large city suburb like a million others. It's a dangerous place where tension remains high after a recent event. Downgrade from warningbox to cautionbox, or to inline text, but don't pretend that all is normal or all is well. K7L (talk) 18:47, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm mostly questioning whether it wouldn't be enough to mention it at Ferguson, as few visitors to St. Louis are likely to go there anyway. Texugo (talk) 20:22, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ferguson is an empty page, except for the warning box. There's no use putting the information there as there'd be no reason for the traveller to print and bring that page with them. K7L (talk) 00:00, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The blues[edit]

I just realized there's very little in the article about the blues. (And I don't mean the hockey team.) Does anyone know more about St. Louis' blues history and current scene? Powers (talk) 13:18, 6 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Metrolink rail lines[edit]

Can we get them to show up on the map? Hobbitschuster (talk) 23:15, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Magic House and Grant's Farm not on this page[edit]

The Magic House (children's museum) and Grant's Farm is not on this page... —The preceding comment was added by 173.24.119.70 (talkcontribs)

Then add it. This is a wiki.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 16:08, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
