Logan is not usually considered part of the Wasatch Front in Utah. Correct? (WT-en) Jules 02:16, 14 August 2011 (EDT)

The following is in the preamble to the article: The region stretches from Brigham City to Santaquin and includes the counties of Wasatch, Salt Lake, Utah, Morgan, Cache, Davis, Weber, Rich, and the western half of Summit County. Not everyone agrees on the strict limits of the Wasatch Front, however; some people argue that Logan and Cache Valley are part of the Wasatch Front or that the region goes as far south as Nephi.--(WT-en) Burmesedays 02:53, 14 August 2011 (EDT)

Misuse of the term "Ogden Valley"[edit]

I understand the grouping of cities north to south, but "Ogden Valley" is just wrong. The Ogden Valley is an area up Ogden Canyon to the east of Ogden, including Pineview Reservoir, Huntsville, Eden, Liberty, and a couple of ski resorts. I don't know of a good term that covers the region from Brigham City to Bountiful; maybe "Northern Wasatch Front"? Ntsimp (talk) 21:16, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rename/Split?[edit]

Based on the regions represented in this map, I've added Cache and Heber valleys. Based on the map, this region should probably be called "Wasatch Range" or Cache Valley, Snyderville Basin and Heber Valley should be split into their own region. —The preceding comment was added by Jay mitchell (talkcontribs)

I'm not sure if I understood correctly. Are you suggesting that we split this region into further sub-regions, or that we split this region so that we have 7 instead of 6 regions for Utah as a whole, or that we just rename this article Wasatch Range and the problem's solved? --Peter Talk 09:11, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Cache Valley, Snyderville Basin, and Heber Valley are definitely not part of the Wasatch Front; they're east of the Wasatch Mountains. Ntsimp (talk) 00:04, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ahem, you've got a helpful mapmaker here—let me know what would make sense to do. Should we then split said valleys and basins into a separate article, leaving us with 7 in stead of 6 regions for Utah at the top level of the division? --Peter Talk 03:39, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I would support the rename to "Wasatch Range". It doesn't make sense to me to split off another region; those areas aren't sufficiently different. Ntsimp (talk) 14:59, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That makes sense, and is easy. I'll do it now. --Peter Talk 20:55, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Map is done, and all links should be updated. --Peter Talk 23:05, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The page was renamed from Wasatch Front to Wasatch Range in 2013, but the article still needs editing to bring it in line with the title 'Wasatch Range'. Nurg (talk) 04:13, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have now had a go at this. Further refining welcome. Nurg (talk) 04:35, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
