Tanami Track (also known as the Tanami Road and the McGuire Track) stretches 1032km from Alice Springs in the Northern Territory to Halls Creek in Western Australia.

Understand [edit]

The road services a number of Aboriginal communities and gold mines. It is unsealed and has only one roadhouse for fuel at Rabbit Flat. The roadhouse may be closed so travellers need to ensure they have sufficient fuel and water for the journey.

As of December 2010 Rabbit Flat roadhouse no longer sells fuel. Take enough fuel and water for the whole journey.
