Tonopah is a former mining town in Nevada, almost equidistant between Las Vegas and Reno.

By car[edit]
- From Las Vegas – Take US 95 north to Tonopah.
- From Reno – Take Interstate 80 east to Fernley, then US 50 southeast to Fallon, then US 95 south to Tonopah.
By plane[edit]
Tonopah is closer to Las Vegas than Reno by 20 mi (32 km).
- 1 Tonopah Airport (TPH IATA). General aviation airport. There are no commercial flights.
- 2 Mammoth Yosemite Airport (MMH IATA) in California is the closest airport with any commercial flights, but it has only a few flights.
- 3 Harry Reid International Airport (LAS IATA) in Las Vegas is the closest airport with a significant number of national and international commercial flights
- 4 Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO IATA) in Reno, would be the best place to fly into if you are factoring Reno into your travels

- 3 Old Tonopah Cemetery, 940 N Main St.

If you win... Chances are that, if you win it big in Tonopah and you are not a U.S. citizen your winnings will be subject to a 30% withholding tax from the Internal Revenue Service.
