Welcome[edit]

Hello, Fdesoto! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thanks for your contributions, but please have a look at Wikivoyage's guidelines for hotel marketers. In particular, make sure the listing is formatted correctly by leaving city/state/zip off of the address (it can be inferred from the article) and providing a useful description - "The Marriott Dallas Suites Market Center hotel is conveniently located near downtown Dallas and the American Airlines Center" describes the neighborhood, not the hotel. Instead, say if the hotel has a pool, restaurant, fitness center, or provide other details that help a traveler choose whether or not to stay there. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 14:53, 19 May 2011 (EDT)

I'd like to re-iterate the advice above. Listings that read like marketing will almost always be removed from Wikivoyage articles. If you have questions please ask them on this talk page or in the Pub. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 12:57, 24 May 2011 (EDT)
