Thanks, and suggested reading[edit]

Hi, Karen, and thanks for your contributions. Since it looks like you have a lot of information to contribute and will (we hope) stick around for a while, please have a look through mos, dt and Project:Words to avoid. We try to avoid words and phrases that have become marketing cliches, as this guide, though perhaps promotional of travel in the broadest sense, does not aim to tout one hotel over another, etc., but merely to give clear descriptions and let individual travelers make up their own minds.

Please feel free to ask any questions here or in the Project:Travellers' Pub.

All the best,

Your "article" about a hotel in Beijing was deleted. Read Project:What is an article? (WT-en) Ikan Kekek 05:09, 18 April 2012 (EDT)
All touty hotel listings or listings that inappropriately describe the area the hotel is in at length will simply be deleted until you read this page. We Wikivoyageians (or whatever the word is) need to work together and talk to each other.
All the best,

For hotels, have a look at Project:Accommodation listings as well. (WT-en) Pashley 08:35, 26 April 2012 (EDT)

Also Project:External links. The listing you added in Nanjing has a link to a booking site. Policy here is that we only link to primary sources. If the hotel itself has a site, lnk to that. Otherwise, give no link. (WT-en) Pashley 08:41, 26 April 2012 (EDT)
