Hi User talk:1.120.3.182 I noticed you are making a lot of edits to Wikivoyage:Mapmaking_Expedition that are being rejected.

It would be really great if you could engage in discussion about this on the discussion page instead: Wikivoyage_talk:Mapmaking_Expedition --Andrewssi2 (talk) 12:00, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

User ban nomination[edit]

Hi, I have nominated you for a 3 day ban, since it seems it is otherwise impossible to get your attention. Wikivoyage:User_ban_nominations#User:124.177.165.57_now_User:1.120.3.182.E2.80.8E

I have noted that your edits are not intentionally malicious, however they are disruptive, and at the very least we would like to discuss them with you. Please do join the discussion and then we could maybe work this out? --Andrewssi2 (talk) 13:45, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

This account and the accounts for other IPs you have used (User:1.120.150.75, User:124.186.241.240, User:58.164.158.55, User:2.33.233.119, User:123.211.111.136, User:124.177.165.57) have been blocked for 1 week, primarily due to your edit warring in Wikivoyage_talk:Mapmaking_Expedition and paying no attention to any messages on any of your user talk pages or edit summaries when your unhelpful edit was repeatedly reverted, with a couple of fairly recent additional examples of copyright violation as an additional contributing factor. Further discussion related to this block can be read at Wikivoyage:User ban nominations. I hope you finally decide to read other users' attempts to communicate with you, so that you can collaborate with us. Wikis are collaborative projects, and communication among editors is essential for the success of the project. If when you resume editing after the expiration of the 1-week block, you continue to ignore communications and engage in any type of disruptive editing, you will be blocked for a longer period of time, with much less discussion beforehand. And please do not try to evade the block by using yet another IP, because your editing style will give you away as long as you continue with it, but do please finally post a reply here, as your ability to edit your user talk pages has not been compromised by this block, and no-one hates you here — we just want you to be collaborative and allow us to engage in a discussion with you about how best to improve the quality of this site. Enough is enough[edit]

As you must know by this point, Wikivoyage administrators have been trying to get in touch with you regarding your inappropriate edits. These include but are not limited to: a) unconstructive and irrelevant additions to destination articles, such as section headings with no content and vague, unexplained and completely worthless additions of listings; b) edit warring on Wikivoyage:Mapmaking Expedition; and, which is most offensive to us, c) completely ignoring the messages we've been leaving on the talk pages of your various anonymous IP addresses.

When a message is left on a user's talk page, a large orange banner and the words "You have a new message" appear on the top of the screen after login. We have left countless messages on your talk pages and even blocked you a few times, so we have no choice but to assume at this point that you are ignoring us willfully. Enough is enough. We have had our fill of cleaning up after you, and we are thus compelled to take more drastic measures in dealing with your vandalism.

This message serves as your final warning before things escalate further. The next time any edit is made other than a response to this message that addresses the concerns of our community and explains your behavior from any of the IP addresses you've used thus far (1.120.3.182, 1.120.150.75, 2.33.233.119, 58.164.158.55, 123.211.111.136, 124.177.165.57, 124.186.241.240, and 124.187.103.207), or from any other IP address or account whose editing patterns match yours, we will block all IP addresses and accounts you are known to have used for escalating periods of time.

Let it be perfectly clear to you: WE REGARD YOUR PATTERN OF EDITING, AND YOUR REFUSAL TO RESPOND TO TALK PAGE MESSAGES LEFT FOR YOU BY OTHER USERS, AS WILLFUL VANDALISM. WIKIVOYAGE DOES NOT TOLERATE VANDALISM. IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE EDITING ON WIKIVOYAGE, *PLEASE* RESPOND TO TALK PAGE MESSAGES AND CONFORM YOUR EDITS TO OUR POLICY.

Good day.

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
