Hello, 59.96.22.63! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. - (WT-en) Texugo 12:38, 28 February 2009 (EST)

Hi there. A couple of notes:

  • Because of licensing conflicts, it is not permissible to copy text from Wikipedia. That stuff needs to be removed from this article.
  • Our section headers are standardized according to our article templates, so idiosyncratic headers like Famous eatables in Tuticorin will continue to get changed back to their appropriate template header name.
  • We don't write in first person (I/me/personal stories/etc.), and accreditation comes naturally through the page history. If you want your name to appear in the accreditation, please start an account of your own. Otherwise, only your ip address is used. Writing your name at the top of the article stating that you wrote it is not the way to do things.
  • We write articles for travellers, so a lot of the minutely detailed stuff that is unrelated to travel (demographics, economy, history of port denomination, etc.) needs to be toned down or removed, or it needs to become more clear why that stuff is relevant for the traveller.

Any other questions, please let me know. (WT-en) Texugo 12:38, 28 February 2009 (EST)

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users.
