Here's my take as someone who regularly lurks various different WMF projects – this wiki really dislikes templates in a bad way (and any discussion that I've started was instantly degraded, indirectly at least), and no other wiki has such an anti-template policy and the reason why we can't have nice cool features here. When creating various different DRs, it becomes tedious for the nominator to write a custom message each and every time. Although I wasn't the one who started this specific DR, normally, this is why I usually don't leave a message on the creator's talk page. I would if there were a template (including on other people's DRs), but I doubt anyone cares about my opinion. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 08:00, 5 May 2023 (UTC)

- Hi again @SHB2000. I thought about it and I'm not even sure a template is required. A simple ping would do the job as notifications are cross projects and most (all?) people visit Wikipedia at least once a week. And it's super simple to just "@" the main contributor.
