Hello, Alvb! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

I reverted your first edit, but that's not because there was anything fundamentally bad about it; it's just that Jökulsárlón should be discussed more extensively in its own article, rather than the article for the entire nation of Iceland. Also, we don't use ref tags on Wikivoyage, which you would have no reason to know if you just came here from Wikipedia.

If you'd like to insert your text as needed at Jökulsárlón, you can see it on the left side of this page.

Don't hesitate to ask any question you have by replying below, signing your post (only on talk pages like this one) with 4 tildes (the ~ key) in a row.

I hope this reversion doesn't discourage you. Iceland could use more coverage, and I hope you stick around.

All the best,

Hello Ikan Kekek and thank you for the warm welcome! I appreciate the guidance. My friends just came back from a vacation to Iceland and thought I would check it out online. Most of my edits on Wiki come from the notion of something I am researching. :-) Thank you also for the guidance on ref tags. I am so used to needing to cite every sentence, it is good to know I don't have to do that here. :-) Thanks again! alvb (talk)
