Hello, AnhaltER1960! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Thank you for contributing to Magdeburg and East Germany! Danapit (talk) 11:29, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Berlin districts[edit]

I've started doing sth over @Google Maps and I wanted to share the results: [1]

I have two issues you may want to weigh in:

  • The natural border for "City West" seems to be the Stadtring, but for the "City East" I feel that the railway tracks are the natural border. This makes the districts quite different in size.
  • Kreuzberg was not in East Berlin and including it in the East would be misleading IMHO. Besides, I am not really sure how handy for mapping and such would a crescent-shaped Wikivoyage district be - covering Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain in one article is already a handful IMHO. Perhaps we need a "City South" article?

The map is editable. I am looking forward to learning of your take on that. PrinceGloria (talk) 05:51, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Still not really clear[edit]

"Dont overstretch your luck, just in case of a win, you have to get rid of the money until midnight."

Are you trying to say that if you win, you have to spend all your winnings before midnight? Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:59, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think what's meant is that when you're on a day visa you can't take the Eastern money out of East Berlin and your visa runs out at midnight. Hobbitschuster (talk) 01:41, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I understand now. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:40, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Hobbitschuster. Yes, that is exactly the result, if you add A and B. --AnhaltER1960 (talk) 06:10, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Visa(s)[edit]

I noticed that you use the correct German/Latin plural of the word "visa". However, in English the word "visum" is never used and "visa" is indeed the singular with the - according to Latin grammar patently absurd - "visas" indeed the plural form. I know, this is not ideal, but unfortunately it's the way English grammar has evolved and short of bribing dictionary editors there is little any of us can do about the matter. Best wishes.
