Hello and welcome, but please read don't tout and tour. For tours to be listed, they must add value that an individual tourist either can't or would have a very hard time discovering for him-/herself. Your tours might fit the criteria, but please make sure you look over those links. Some promotional text, an email address and a URL will never be acceptable as a tour listing on this site.

If you have any questions after reading our touting and tour policies, please ask.

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:03, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ikan, I read the policy and we have all your requirements. Differently from regular tour guides we 're graduated and experienced archaeologists born in Pompeii and in the surrounding area.

Sincerely Pompeiin

I understand. But that has to be detailed in any listing. One problem is that your website is a little vague in describing what happens on tours, and vagueness won't work for tour listings on this site.

http://www.pompeiin.com/en/Pompeii_Tour.html Is the tour described in the previous page vague?

Please sign your posts on talk pages by typing ~~~~. OK, it's not that vague, as it describes what the tourists will see, but anyone can see these things by themselves, so the important thing for a tour listing is for you to indicate, briefly but clearly, what context you add, as you are not going to be able to just copy and paste your long though interesting explanatory text. Ikan, we offer several itineraries at the ancient Pompeii lasting from 1 hour to 6 hours and covering all the highlights of the city such as the forum, the baths the brothel, the bakeries, the house of the Faun and the house of the Tragic Poet, the amphitheatre the theaters, the Villa of Mysteries, the cemeteries and the city fortifications. The guides are locals, are licensed, and are graduated in Archaeology; they are able to provide kids and disables friendly tours, and with their vast knowledge make the ancient Pompeii come to life. However i found regular tours listed in other pages of Wihivoiage by companies not as specialized as we are, have a look at the next page for example [[Seville|http://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Seville]] Thanks for your attention Emiliano Tufano

Those are the kinds of details you would need to put in a listing. As for other listings, I don't have time to look now, but there are always listings in violation of our tour policy that get through temporarily. If you think the listing in Seville is in violation, please go ahead and delete it. Meanwhile, please write your listing for the Pompeii guide.
I cannot guarantee that another admin won't decide that even with the details you provide, it will fulfill our tour policy as they interpret it, but it sure stands a way better chance, and I would argue for it if it's as detailed as what you just posted here and properly formatted as a "See" listing with a telephone number, address, etc.
All the best,

Hi, Emiliano. I noticed you just listed yourself in the Herculaneum guide. I'm willing to go along with that, but I want you to know that it's problematic, because our policy against touting forbids listing the same business in more than one place on the site. I don't plan to delete your Herculaneum listing, but someone else might (or might argue that your Herculaneum tour should be mentioned in your listing in the Pompeii article, which I don't think is a very sensible argument, given that Herculaneum tours are relevant in the Herculaneum guide and not the guide to the much bigger ruins some distance away). However, while two listings of two different tours in two different places might be tolerated, if you list additional tours in additional articles, you will be branded as a spammer, with all your listings subject to deletion - and neither you nor I would want that. So, did you have plans to list your tours in more than these two places, or - as I hope - are you satisfied with the two listings? Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:40, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well, that question was answered very quickly. I am willing to accept listings in Pompeii and Herculaneum, but in no other article. Please cooperate, or it will be necessary to delete all your listings. Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:44, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
