Hello, Tom Morris! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. -- 46.229.146.188 15:02, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Tom Morris (talk) 15:03, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

1800's -> 1800s[edit]

Is there a Wikivoyage:Manual of style entry for that? If not, could you make one? --EvanProdromou (talk) 17:47, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Added at Wikivoyage:Spelling. There's plenty of sources to back this kind of usage up: Wikipedia, Yahoo Style Guide, Economist etc. —Tom Morris (talk) 18:01, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Travel news[edit]

First, I wanted to thank you for all the good edits you have been making! Second, as a WN admin, perhaps you would be interested in this discussion: Talk:Travel news#Restart. We once upon a time tried to maintain a travel news/updates section on the main page, but it died for lack of manpower/interest. I wonder whether there might be a way to coordinate with Wikinews to restart that project. --Peter Talk 20:21, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. It'd definitely be great to have people who want to write about travel news at Wikinews. I'll have a look at the proposal you linked to shortly. I'm also going to look into having a Wikivoyage template on Wikinews so that we can link from pages like n:Category:London to London. —Tom Morris (talk) 20:44, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help[edit]

Thanks for setting up my user Talk page so quickly. Irelandkm (talk) 16:50, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Hope you have fun on Wikivoyage. —Tom Morris (talk) 16:51, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please help[edit]

I have a User page and a Talk page - both are red. Clicking on either of them takes me to a search page. Please help. Respectfully, Tiyang (talk) 04:28, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You may delete this message if you like. Another editor created a talk page for me. From there, I was able to create my user page. Thank you. Respectfully, Tiyang (talk) 15:04, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
