Maybe this page should be called Shire of Baw Baw or simply Baw Baw. Warragul doesn't seem like the right choice. Harleyca (talk) 03:14, 6 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thoughts on this page

[edit]

The existence of a Baw Baw page seems kind of unnecessary for me. Initially this was a Warragul page but a bunch of content outside Warragul was added, so it appears to have been changed and made into a rural area page -- well, it was initially a city page, but that's obviously not the correct type. Rural area pages are "for areas so sparsely populated that their individual villages aren't big enough for their own articles". I don't think this really applies to Baw Baw. Considering the 18 listings with coordinates, 7 are all in or near one town, Noojee, while 4 are in Neerim South. These could all easily be their own articles, and I don't think there's any reason why the other places in Baw Baw -- Warragul, Drouin, etc- couldn't have their own articles. Heck, we have one for Yarragon, even if it's just an outline. My thoughts are to move this page to Noojee, since that's the plurality of the content, and create new articles for Neerim South, Warragul, and other towns in Baw Baw. --LivelyRatification (talk) 06:17, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'll do some research for some of the towns in this area and I might create some articles while leaving this alone for the time being. I'll first start on Warragul. SHB2000 (talk) 10:26, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Good idea, might get started on something similar/improving the Yarragon article tomorrow. --LivelyRatification (talk) 10:40, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Warragul is now officially outline. SHB2000 (talk) 11:34, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
I've now also upgraded Yarragon to usable status. I think it's probably worth moving this article given it doesn't meet rural area requirements.--LivelyRatification (talk) 01:28, 25 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Going to get started on doing that today. --LivelyRatification (talk) 21:17, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
