Winslow is a small market town in Buckinghamshire, England. It has about 5,000 inhabitants.

Get in

[edit]

The main road going through Winslow is the A413 which runs though the town from north to south. An off-road cycleway follows the route of the A413 and runs to Buckingham.

Buses are relatively easy to come by with an hourly X60 and 60 service to Buckingham and Aylesbury and less frequent buses to Milton Keynes. The Winslow & District Community Bus provides local links to surrounding towns on specific days. The new Winslow Railway Station is due to open in 2019 to the north of the town centre.

See

[edit]

Winslow Hall is the most famous attraction, on Sheep Street in the south. It is a large mansion overlooking the stunning Buckinghamshire countryside. The old railway station is a site for train fans, and Swanbourne Station (the next stop on the eastbound line) is still more or less intact. You can still see the platforms of Winslow and Winslow Road stations but they are not as well kept.
