Sibley and his military expedition on August 16, 1863. His expedition included 3,300 soldiers and 200 wagons in a column five miles long.
- Old Stone Church Heritage Center. Tu 6PM-8PM, F 1PM-4PM, Sa 1PM-3PM. Built in 1885 as Calvary Episcopal Chapel, the Old Stone Church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It hosts a variety of local and traveling museum exhibits, a library, and a museum store.
