Bankapura is a small historical town in the Haveri district of Karnataka state, India.

Bankapura is at a distance of 22 kilometres by road from Haveri on the way to Hubballi by National Highway 48.

  • Shri Nagareshwara Temple. A 12th century temple built by the Western Chalaukya Dynasty, it was partially destroyed by the invading armies of Firoz Shah Bahmani in 1406.
