Cham is a city in Upper Palatinate in Bavaria, Germany. Its name is pronounced quite similar to the English word "calm" and not with a German "ch" sound.

If you are coming from farther away, you will most likely take the Autobahn A3 (Nurmeberg-Regensburg-Passau) or A93 (from the West)

Regular trains connect Cham with other parts of Germany as well as the Czech Republic. There are direct trains to/from Prague as well as regional connections to surrounding places.
