В 1565 году на левом берегу реки Паз креститель лопарей Трифон поставил храм во имя первых русских святых Бориса и Глеба (маленькая деревянная церковь на 10 человек, обветшавшая к концу XIX века, до настоящего времени не сохранилась). Закладка новой церкви во имя святых Бориса и Глеба состоялась в 1872 году рядом со старой одноимённой церковью. Строительство было завершено в 1874 году. Автор проекта - инженер Д. В. Васильев. 25 августа 1874 года состоялось торжественное освящение построенного храма. В 1920-х годах церковь была закрыта. В 1944 г. здание храма было повреждено во время боёв. После восстановления в 1945 г. церковь по назначению не использовалась. 7 июня 1992 года церковь Бориса и Глеба была вновь освящена. Здание церкви принято на государственную охрану в качестве объекта культурного наследия регионального значения решением исполнительного комитета Мурманского областного Совета депутатов от 05.06.1968 г. № 29.
