العربية: منظر في الصباح الباكر لِمدينة دوبروفنيك وأسوارها، وهي إحدى مواقع التُراث العالمي مُنذُ سنة 1979. شكَّلت هذه المدينة مركز جُمهُوريَّة راگوزة وهي إحدى الدُويلات البحريَّة الإيطاليَّة التي قامت في إقليم دلماسية (الواقع اليوم في أقصى جنوب كرواتيا)، وقد دامت مُنذُ سنة 1358 (عند خُرُوجها من تبعيَّتها لِلبُندُقيَّة) إلى سنة 1808 (عندما سيطر عليها ناپُليون بوناپرت وضمَّها إلى الإمبراطوريَّة الفرنسيَّة). وصلت المدينة ذُروة ازدهارها التجاري خلال القرنين الخامس عشر والسادس عشر، عندما خضعت لِحماية الدولة العُثمانيَّة. وصل عدد سُكَّانها إلى قُرابة 30,000 نسمة، منهم 5,000 نسمة عاشوا داخل الأسوار.
English: Early morning view of the Old Town of Dubrovnik and its city walls, an UNESCO Heritage Site since 1979. The former Republic of Ragusa was a maritime republic centered on the city of Dubrovnik (Ragusa in Italian and Latin) in Dalmatia (today in southernmost modern Croatia), that existed from 1358 (end of the sovereignty of Venice) to 1808 (conquered by Napoleon's French Empire). It reached its commercial peak in the 15th and the 16th centuries, under the protection of the Ottoman Empire. It had a population of about 30,000 people, of whom 5,000 lived within the city walls.

La antigua república de Ragusa fue una república marítima con la ciudad de Dubrovnik como centro en Dalmacia (hoy en la parte sur de Croacia, que existió entre 1358 (final de la soveranía de Venecia) y 1808 (conquista del Imperio francés por parte de Napoleón.
