Summary

Description
English: Cup marks on the ringing stone An erratic supposedly from Rum, sitting on a rocky base with a hollow underneath, so it rings when you hit it with a stone. There are 23 cup marks (one clearly visible in picture). Legend has it that if shattered Tiree would sink below the waves. Perhaps it will shatter due to increased temperature brought on by global warming and since Tiree is very low lying will largely disappear.
