Description
English: Main altar of the parish church Sant Jaume, Alcúdia, Majorca. The neo-gothic altar is a work of Llorenç Ferrer and Miquel Arcas. In the center the statue of St. James, St. Peter at the left side and St. Paul at he right. Between them eight boxes with Saint Catherine Thomàs, the resurrection of Jesus, the flight to Egypt of the holy family, the blessed Ramon Llull, the temptations of Jesus, Jesus knocking on the door, the Good Shepherd, and the garden prayer. At the bottom the four evangelists, thereover in the center the martyrdom of St. Peter and St. Paul, at the left gives Jesus the church keys to St. Peter, on the right the appearance of Santiago.
Deutsch: Hauptaltar der Pfarrkirche Sant Jaume, Alcúdia, Mallorca. Der neogotische Altar ist ein Werk von Llorenç Ferrer und Miquel Arcas. Im Zentrum die Statue des Hl Jakobus, Petrus auf der linken und Paulus auf der rechten Seite. Dazwischen acht Kassetten mit der Hl. Katharina Thomàs, der Auferstehung Jesu, die Flucht der heiligen Familie nach Ägypten, der Selige Ramon Llull, die Versuchung Jesu, der anklopfende Jesus, der gute Hirte und das Gebet im Garten. An der Basis die vier Evangelisen, darüber im Zentrum das Martyrium von Petrus und Paulus, links übergibt Jesus die Kirchenschlüssel an Petrus, rechts die Erscheinung des Hl. Jakob.
