Nyckelord: Imari
Description
Svenska: KAMINGARNITYR, 5 delar.
English: Five-piece porcelain garniture with pierced decoration, decorated in underglaze blue, overglaze red and gilding. Japan, Arita kilns, c.1700. The vases are double-walled, the outer layer pierced with cut lattice work. Their decoration is one of the most popular ever created for export ware, known as “Imari”, after the port through which wares were shipped. The name refers to a simple colour palette of blue, red and gold.
