Description
Deutsch: Die Piaristenkirche Maria Treu am Jodok-Fink-Platz im 8. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Josefstadt. Links davor die 1713 gestiftete Mariensäule und rechts 2 Skulpturen, die riesengroße Halswirbel darstellen und von der Künstlerin Sylvia Kummer stammen.
Die Baugeschichte der Kirche ist mangels archivalischer Unterlagen gering dokumentiert. Von 1716 bis 1721 dürfte nach Entwürfen von Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt der Rohbau errichtet worden sein. In einer 2. Bauphase dürfte dann bis 1756 der Innenausbau und die Innenausstattung fertiggestellt gewesen sein.
