毎年10月中旬に行われる 愛媛県 西条市 の祭礼、西条祭りに登場するだんじり。 楽車とも表記する。 全国でも珍しい担ぎ屋台(舁き山車)で、四方を美しく精緻で立体的な透かし彫りで飾る。 二階構造の屋台と三階の屋台が存在するが、どちらを持つかは町内ごとの判断による。 高さ4.5m～5m前後（これは屋台ごとの個体差が大きい)､ 重量は二階屋台なら約600kg前後、三階なら約700kg前後となるが 近年の流行として新調屋台の彫りが年々豪華になる傾向があり、重量級の屋台が多くなってきている。 通常15、6人～20人ほどの舁き夫で担ぎ､鳴り物は屋台の中にある。 楽車の名にふさわしく、リズミカルでテンポのいい鳴り物囃子で担ぎ、伊勢音頭やデカンショ節、 また全国浦々の伝統的な謡曲や最近の流行歌なども取り入れた非常に数多く多彩な祭り唄を歌う。 |
