Holmes Chapel is a large village of just under 6,000 residents. Until 1974 the parish was known as Church Hulme. Green fields can be reached within a mile of the centre in any direction.

Off junction 18 of the M6. Only 20 miles from Manchester Airport.

Homes Chapel station has Northern Rail connections from Crewe and Manchester.

  • 1 St Luke's Church, London Road. The present church originated about 1430 as a timber-framed building with a Perpendicular sandstone west tower.

  • Dane Meadow (footpath running from Moreton Drive to the A50 by the bridge at Cranage), . Dane Meadow is a 7 hectare area of land to the north of Holmes Chapel within the Dane Valley. It is a natural environment for walking dogs and casual walkers. The roadway provides access for disabled vehicles and a limited parking area near the river.
