Itu, Akwa Ibom is a city of 127,000 people (2006) in Akwa Ibom State, South South Nigeria.

Itu is a Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, located in the southeast of Nigeria. The landmass of the Local Government Area is roughly 606 km². Odukpani in Cross River State and Arochukwu in Abia State border it on the north and north-east, Ibiono Ibom and Ikono Local Government Areas on the west, and Uyo and Uruan Local Government Areas on the south and southeast, respectively.

The airport is designed to handle larger aircraft operations including Boeing 787 and A380 aircraft. Akwa Imbom offers domestic services to Lagos and Abuja. The airport was renamed in honour of former Akwa Ibom state governor Obong Victor Attah in Nov-2018.The airport receives flights from Abuja, Calabar, Enugu and Lagos.
