Kamarina was a Greek city founded by the Corintian-Syracusan in 598.BC. The Archeological Park of Kamarina is at 25km from Ragusa.

Kamarina was destroied several times. First by the Punic-Cartaginian (403.BC), then by the Romans (258.BC) and at last by the Arabs in 827.
